Mid Century Modern Furniture to Die For…

With so many companies these days knocking off iconic furniture designs, it is so refreshing to find a gallery that carries unusual vintage and modern furnishings. Pascal Boyer Gallery has been in Chelsea for four years and consistently brings in great finds from France and Italy that are both refined and ostentatious. Pascal looks to Gio Ponti, Jacques Adnet, and Vladimir Kagan for the most timeless designs, but he also has a knack for designing his own custom furnishings in a range of mediums.

Robert Passal turning around high-speed, high-end homes

Ever have a project that has to be finished in 90 days or less? Fast paced design was the topic of discussion for my most recent visit to the D & D in New York. A panel of industry experts was assembled by the people at Decorati, which included myself, Alexa Hampton, Matthew White, and Alan Tanksley. We were asked an array of questions focusing on the short cuts and options that can significantly reduce lead times and increase productivity. The panel, as a whole, agreed that the first step is to be honest and up front with your clients.

Fashion Forward

Fashion and interior design never seem to stop inspiring each other, and for good reason.  I come from a fashion background personally, with stints at Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana in New York City, and I constantly look to the runway shows for inspiration. The influences don’t stop there, as many fashion houses now have home collections, so they can dress not just us in their fabulous to-die-for clothes, but our homes as well.  I cannot imagine a more fashionable life!
