On the Hunt

Linda Wary and John Meyers are a husband and wife team of interior designers based out of Portland, Maine. The New York Times went along with them to their only source of material- garage sales and flea markets. The new $46-million expansion, designed by architect Rafael Viñoly, is being called the city’s first green museum. Thom Filicia Style

Get tips and tricks from pro interior designer, former Queer Eye guy, and Dress My Nest host Thom Filicia in his new book Thom Filicia Style (Simon & Schuster), due to be released October 21.

Thom Filicia Style/Simon & Schuster

Inside, Filicia explains his design philosophy, offers tips for figuring out your own home style, shares how-to’s and don’t do’s, and presents five case study makeovers. He’s all about spreading the good design word:

“I’m a democratic design snob. I see it as my mission to help stamp out boring, unimaginative interiors. But I also love people, having fun, and what I do for a living. I think a fabulously styled place is achievable by everyone. Think of me as your decorating wingman, someone who’ll advise, support, inspire (and occasionally browbeat), so you don’t have to white-knuckle it alone.”                 from Thom Filicia Style
