Simply Devine: Michael Devine Home

Michael Devine knows design. He spent six years covering the design world for HFN magazine, before he traded his editor’s hat in for a design shop, Michael Devine Home, in Kinderhook, NY. That was two years ago when he stumbled upon a charming 1840s storefront that he renovated and filled with his favorite design items.
The cornerstone of his collection: fabulous hand printed fabrics. “The fabrics are inspired by the art of stenciling and classic design motifs interpreted in a modern way,” says Devine. “They lend themselves to either traditional or contemporary interiors.”
Between minding shop in Kinderhook, event hopping around NYC, and blogging about The Devine Life, we asked what’s next for the designer. “I’m working on expanding the Michael Devine Signature accessory collection, which includes frames, albums, guest books, pen cups and note blocks all made from my fabrics.” Can’t wait…until then, here’s a peek at some of Devine fabrics…
